Featuring Elizabeth Kartchner and her way too cool DIY memory game!

Today Teach Your Tot features Elizabeth Kartchner, one of my all time favorite crafty ladies and bloggers! Liz won the Scrapbooker of the Year contest for Creating Keepsakes Magazine in 2007, designs her own line of scrapbook/craft supplies called Dear Lizzy for American Crafts, is author of the book "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges," and travels all over the world teaching classes. She recently opened Something Splendid, a virtual creative classroom with online workshops and kits. (I bought the fabric dolls for my daughter for her birthday and she loved them!)

Besides being super talented (her resume speaks for itself), Liz is also a mom to three adorable little girls. She is constantly coming up with cool creative ideas to keep kids busy and happy!

When I saw the wooden memory game, below, I knew that this was a must do with my kids! I loved it so much that I wanted to share it with all the awesome Teach Your Tot readers. Elizabeth was too kind, in letting me feature her and this post on our blog!

Wooden Memory Game: DIY
(Here's what she says...)

A simple memory game I put together for our trip this week. It's perfect for the sand but keep it away from the water. I tried it out and the girls loved it. Seeing all of the faces of the people they love and trying to find the match! I was going to make one with the alphabet I will have to do when I get home.

It's easy peasy: Just paint the wood circles then attached photos to the other side.
There's a fabric bag I stamped to keep it all together.

All the colors remind me of summer

So cute, isn't it! You can find the wooden circles at a local craft store! Have fun making this awesome DIY project!
