Rainy Day Crafting and Storage

I have seen this idea many places; in magazines, online, in craft books etc., and it really is a great idea! I use this storage solution for the kid's crafts. Fill a tin muffin pan with several different craft items for your toddlers to use to create. I filled each space with crayons, pom-poms, stickers, chalk, glue sticks, sequence, felt shapes, and glitter glue pens. I keep this tray on a shelf, next to my craft items, and I can simply take it down for the kids to dig into too when they want to create a picture.
On Monday, it rained all day! Sometimes I welcome these lazy rainy days and sometimes it makes us all a little stir-crazy! Unfortunately Monday was one of those days where we would rather be outside playing instead of watching the rain pour down hour after hour.
This little craft tray saved us (or saved me!!!). The kids used their imaginations and created their own pictures using all of these craft items. It took them at least 45 minutes, which we all know in toddler time is a LONG time! ;-) I even got to work on one of my scrapbooks while they did this rainy day activity that is so simple!
I hope everyone is enjoying "feelings" week!
